If assistive technology is bought on a child's behalf solely for the use of that child so that he has access to the general education curriculum, does the device stay with the student even if he leaves the district or transitions out of school and into the world or does it belong to the district? Furthermore, whose fiduciary responsibility is it to fund assistive technology needs as the student transitions out of the district and into adult life?
Do you find this valuable?
